Erected in 1968, Backwoods Venue 222 began its life as an antique museum located just outside of Gower, Missouri. Owned and operated by the Schuster Family, The Platte Purchase Antique Barn proudly hosted visitors from all over the country. With the 70 foot Great Hall, 22 separately decorated rooms, full-service restaurant and shops, guests were guaranteed to embark on a truly special journey back in time. Now join us as we start the next chapter of our lives in this amazing facility.

Paul is a builder at heart—of farms, Lego sets, and now a marriage. He enjoys working hard, being outside, and occasionally thinking he can talk to animals (mixed results so far). He values faith, family, and a good dad joke at the right time. He’s incredibly thankful for the life he’s been given, but even more thankful for the woman who makes it all better. He can’t wait to see what they build together.
Lexi has a heart for caring—whether that’s through her work as a healthcare professional, tending to life on the farm, or loving her kids with everything she has. She thrives in the simple things: growing food, creating a home, and building a life centered on what truly matters. She has a natural way of taking care of everyone around her, often putting others before herself without a second thought. Strong, compassionate, and steady, she’s the kind of person who makes everything feel a little more like home. And while she can handle just about anything life throws her way, her favorite role is loving and supporting her family—something she does better than anyone.
In lieu of a traditional registry, we’ve decided to start our marriage with a little adventure. We’ll be heading out Monday, June 15th for a week-long “DisneyMoon” at the Walt Disney World Resort.
If you feel led to give, a gift toward experiences—meals, snacks (because let’s be honest, we’ll try them all), park tickets, or even travel—would mean so much to us.
We’re incredibly thankful for this chance to step away from the farm, the kids, and the everyday hustle, and just be together as husband and wife. We truly believe this season is a gift from God, and we’re grateful to celebrate it in such a fun and memorable way.
More than anything, we’re thankful for your love, support, and prayers as we begin this next chapter together.
